Day 1 Ride Report

What a bus! This is a seriously well organised event, the level and number of staff is really impressive.

Well that’s day 1 in the bag.

We couldn’t really have asked for better weather, temperate, dry and glimpses of sun as we descended into Folkestone.

The day was a bit of a freshener for everyone riding, efforts only really came in two places: Riding solo to the start to not be late, I was super early. And the last hill of the day, where an unnamed individual decided to lay down the ‘Watts of destiny’ on the unsuspecting peloton, before being publicly admonished and put back in their box….. 😶
